Laura Chinchilla Miranda (in Spanish: [lawɾa tʃintʃiɟa miɾanda], born on March 28, 1959) is a Costa Rican policy that was president of Costa Rica between 2010 and 2014.
He was one of the two vice presidents of Óscar Arias Sánchez and his administration. Justice minister. She was the PLN governor candidate for President in the 2010 general election, where she won with 46.76% of the vote on February 7.
She was the eighth female president of a Latin American country and the first woman to become president of Costa Rica. [4] He was sworn in as President of Costa Rica on May 8, 2010. [5] [6]
He currently teaches at Georgetown University and is a member of the board of directors of the Inter-American Dialogue.
